This is a legitimate concern — we don't always have access to the Internet when working remotely. The good news is that Creative Cloud applications run offline; you only need online access when you install and license your software and once every 30 days.Adobe Creative Cloud applications aren't accessed via a web browser. You download the individual Creative Cloud products, which run from your hard drive and not from the cloud. They function very much like any other application that runs on your computer. What the "Cloud" in "Creative Cloud" Really MeansWith the All Apps plan, you can now more easily share your work with staff, volunteers, and constituents. With a Creative Cloud All Apps plan membership, you get 20 GB of online storage space, which you can use to share your work. When you save files to your Creative Cloud folder, those files are accessible offline and online.Others can view files regardless of whether they're Creative Cloud members or not. They don't need to create an account or register for anything either. You can also take your Adobe apps on the go with you. You can use your online storage space to sync files with a mobile device, such as your tablet or smartphone. You can then access those files via Adobe's mobile apps, such as Photoshop Mix and Illustrator Draw.If you decide to leave Creative Cloud for any reason, you'll still have 2 GB of free storage space to store and access your files. What's Included in the Creative Cloud All Apps PlanYou'll find the Adobe applications you already know and use in Creative Cloud — and even more. Creative Cloud is a great way to explore new applications and find different tools that might benefit your organization. You don't need to install every program in Creative Cloud; you can pick whichever programs your organization uses. If you decide you need an additional program, you can easily download it from the Creative Cloud desktop app. Here are some of the programs included in the All Apps plan. Adobe Photoshop CC is a graphics editing program for 2D, 3D, and motion graphics. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC is a photo processor and image organizer for viewing, optimizing, and retouching images. Adobe Illustrator CC is a vector-based drawing tool. Adobe InDesign CC is a page layout program to help you create rich, complex documents. Adobe Premiere Pro CC is a video editing program. Adobe After Effects CC is a postproduction tool for editing and creating motion graphics. Adobe Audition CC is a digital audio application for recording and editing audio files in a multi-track, nondestructive environment. Adobe Dreamweaver CC can help you design, code, and publish web pages and web-based apps. The Creative Cloud All Apps plan includes many applications beyond just the ones listed above. There are also many online services available:Searching for a new typeface? Adobe Typekit can help you find fonts to make your newsletters, websites, and other collateral pop.Looking for a new color theme? Adobe Color lets you make color themes with an iPhone or on a web browser.Building an app for your cause? Adobe PhoneGap Build lets you create mobile apps in the cloud. Digital Publishing Suite lets you create iPad apps without needing to know code.Telling a digital story? Adobe Story CC Plus is a collaborative screen writing, reporting, and scheduling tool.Find the whole list of included programs and services in the All Apps plan on Adobe's Creative Cloud page.New Features and Tools in Creative CloudWhile the programs in Adobe Creative Cloud function in similar ways to previous versions of Creative Suite, there are a few new additions and features. All of the programs are connected to the cloud, so you'll have access to the latest updates and releases as soon as they're available. In Photoshop CC, there's a feature called HDR Merge, which can help you create natural-looking or surreal images from extremely high-contrast scenes and easily combine multiple shots taken with different exposure settings into a single high-dynamic-range image. After Effects CC allows you to package your After Effects compositions as Live Text templates so that Premiere Pro editors can change the text without changing the text color, motion, or lower-third background. The Live View in Dreamweaver CC has been redesigned to include contextual menus, updates to the Insert panel, keyboard shortcuts, the HTML tag editor, and the Property Inspector to make editing and previewing websites faster than ever.Training and SupportWhether you're looking for feedback from design peers or need some help with a certain effect, you can find lots of great resources for training and support. You can take advantage of the expert-created video tutorials in Adobe's growing library. You'll also have access to the Creative Cloud community called Behance. You can share progress on a project with your team from your Creative Cloud files or within Adobe Photoshop. You can also follow other designers in Behance if you're looking for inspiration.
