Compatibility of File Format with Earlier Versions
FileMaker Pro 16 is not compatible with files created in versions earlier than 12. You can convert files from previous versions with FileMaker Pro 16.

Over a network, up to five licensed users can access the same FileMaker file simultaneously. This includes users of the free
FileMaker Go app on iPad and iPhone devices.
If you need simultaneous access for more than five users, or web access,
FileMaker Server 16 allows access for unlimited licensed users.

You can download a free 10-day trial version of
FileMaker Pro 16 from the FileMaker website. However, the license key received through this offer will not unlock the trial version for permanent use. You'll need to uninstall the trial version and then install the full version.
