Your work is vital. We are raising funds to support it.
We connect civil society organizations around the world to technology and resources that support them as they activate and transform their communities.
TechSoup connects civil society organizations and changemakers around the world to the resources they need to design and implement technology solutions for a more equitable planet.
For more than 30 years, we've built the largest network of civil society organizations the world has ever seen. Whether it's providing food to people who need it, helping young people learn to code, or supporting communities after a disaster strikes, civil society organizations provide the space for people to come together to make an impact on the issues about which they care the most.
TechSoup is introducing a direct public offering (DPO) to offer impact investment opportunities to people of all economic backgrounds. This is more than just an investment. It's a chance to join us — and civil society organizations everywhere — in our mission to build a better world.
Through this innovative offering, you'll earn interest on your investment, and receive repayment of principal at the end of a five-year term. Investment minimums are as low as $50, and returns range from 2 to 5 percent annually.
In turn, civil society organizations will gain access to technology offerings that allow them to provide necessary resources, services, and protections to communities that need them the most.
Last year, TechSoup connected over 1 million nonprofits worldwide, distributing $1.995 billion worth of donated and discounted technology, knowledge, and other critical resources. This network connects the largest number of civil society organizations the world has ever seen. It's time to help these organizations further activate and transform their communities, and build a brighter future for the tens of millions of people they serve across the planet.
I am ready to support global civil society.
A DPO is a way for organizations to raise capital by selling debt or equity securities directly to the public.
You make an investment through our platform, a marketplace connecting investors with impact.
We use this investment to implement our strategic plan.
With your investment, TechSoup can nearly double its reach by expanding our network of civil society organizations, connecting with an estimated 1.7 million organizations, and helping them activate and transform communities on a global scale.
You'll also get a return on your investment, depending on its size.
TechSoup's Direct Public Offering (DPO) is a community investment campaign embodying our belief that TechSoup should be financed by people and entities of all economic backgrounds who want to support our mission and help create an innovative, sustainable, and community-funded approach to TechSoup's next level of growth.
The DPO will engage both philanthropic funders and TechSoup's global community of stakeholders, including the nonprofits we support and the technology companies we serve. We will offer debt securities as an impact investment not just to institutional funders but also to US-based individuals and smaller organizations in our community with investment minimums as low as $50.
There are three tiers of investments available to individuals and institutions for TechSoup's direct public offering.
*Subject to maximum amounts noted above
Investment in TechSoup's DPO offers both financial and social returns for investors. In addition to the 2 to 5 percent interest earned on the initial investment, TechSoup estimates that for every $100 invested, over $47,000 of additional resources can be distributed to the nonprofit sector across 236 countries and territories worldwide.
With your support, TechSoup will significantly increase its global impact over the next five years and catalyze self-sustaining programs for years to come. Together, let's continue to support global civil society. Let's build a better world.
This kind of securities offering is called impact investment. It is basically a way to help a nonprofit to get a loan in order to build their capacity and increase their impact.
Investors who participate in this offer will be doing much more than supporting TechSoup. Their impact will be felt around the globe by more than 900,000 nonprofits who work with TechSoup in more than 238 countries, building a just, more humane, and more equitable planet.
