Installation and Licensing

Most product donations from TechSoup are available in two ways: download or physical media. Downloads (sometimes listed as ESD or electronic delivery) are products downloaded from our donor partners through a link that you're provided after your request is processed. Physical media are boxed installation discs sent through the mail.

For Staff Manager and Ultimate Financial Forecaster, this email will include some important items that you'll need to obtain your donation: the URL for downloading the product and the license key to be used during installation.

For Visual Staff Scheduler, this email will include the license key to be used during installation. Your product will be shipped directly from the TechSoup warehouse within the next two business days.

Atomic Training

You'll need to complete a few more steps to obtain your product after TechSoup processes your donation request. The email will include a license key and a URL to an online registration form that must be completed to obtain your donation.

BetterWorld Telecom

BlackbaudNow

For NOZA, you'll need to complete a few more steps to obtain your product after TechSoup processes your donation request. The email will include some important items that you'll need to obtain your donation: the URL for registering for a NOZA account and a license key to activate it. You must activate your subscription within 60 days.

Brocade

Once we receive and review your questionnaire, you will receive an email in about a week notifying you if your request was approved or denied.

If your request was approved, Cisco will ship your products within eight weeks. You will receive additional emails updating you on the status of your request. Your items may arrive in multiple shipments. To check the status of your request, log in to the TechSoup website, click My Account at the top of the screen, and then click Donation Request History/Status.

For the Venue Pro 3G Smartphone, this email will include some important instructions that you'll need to set up your phone, including steps to set up AT&T mobile service and support information. Your product will be shipped from TechSoup and arrive within five business days.

For refurbished products, your product will be shipped from Dell and arrive within fifteen business days.

Dharma Merchant Services

After TechSoup processes your donation request, watch your organization email address for a message from TechSoup within two business days. Dharma Merchant Services will contact you within the next two business days to guide you through the account application process.

DonorPerfect

You'll need to complete a few more steps to obtain your product after TechSoup processes your donation request. Within the next three business days, DonorPerfect will send a second email with important instructions for setting up your account.

DYMO

Soon after, Esri will send two emails with information needed to complete the installation or activation.

For any Esri product other than ArcView: You will need to take further action to obtain this product after your donation request has been processed. TechSoup will send a questionnaire to your organization email address within two business days. After this questionnaire has been completed, TechSoup will send it to Esri for review and approval. This process typically takes between five and seven business days.

After your donation request has been processed, you will receive three emails. TechSoup will first send an email with preliminary information about obtaining the product. Soon after, Esri will send an email with information on how to complete the installation and activation. Esri will send a third email with instructions on how to register for training for products that include it.

Exclaimer

You'll need to complete a few more steps to obtain your product after TechSoup processes your donation request. First, TechSoup will send an email within two business days confirming the number of licenses you have requested. Then, Microsoft will send an email with information related to the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC). Organizations must register with the VLSC before they can access Volume License Keys or download products. Finally, TechSoup will send an email with information about accessing and managing your donation at the VLSC. If you are new to the VLSC, you should wait for this email before you register there. Your authorization and license numbers are also available on the donation request and history page as well.

You may need to take additional steps, depending on which product you have requested.

ReadyTalk

After you've submitted the form, ReadyTalk will process your subscription request and send you a confirmation email within 24 hours. This email will include your conference access codes and login information.

After TechSoup processes your donation request, your product will be shipped from one of TechSoup's refurbisher partners within 10 business days. TechSoup can track your RCI shipment 10 days after your request is marked as Shipped. After that it will take approximately five business days (longer for Alaska and Hawaii) for the product to arrive.

For Sage accounting products: The email will include some important items that you'll need to obtain your donation: the URL for downloading the product and the license key to be used during installation.

For Sage Payment Solutions: The email will include a link to an online application that you must complete to obtain your donation. After you've submitted the application, Sage will process your request and grant you access to the discounted rates within two business days, unless there is a problem with your application. If you're interested in acquiring Sage Payment Solutions hardware or using Sage Mobile Payments, use the information in the email from TechSoup to contact a Sage sales representative after submitting your application.

It also includes renewal information.

You'll need to complete a few more steps to obtain your product after TechSoup processes your donation request. Watch your organization email address for a message from TechSoup within two business days. Within the next 10 business days, Telosa will send a second email. Both emails will include some important items that you'll need to obtain your donation: The email from TechSoup will include the URL for downloading the product, and the email from Telosa will include the unlock code to activate it.
