What is the Discount Program?

The Discount Program at TechSoup offers a selection of discounted technology products to nonprofits and libraries. These products were previously only available in the educational marketplace.

How do I get access to the nonprofit catalog?

Request the Technology Products for Nonprofits and Libraries offer through TechSoup. When TechSoup approves your donation request, we will send a message to your organization email address with a link to the special store for TechSoup recipients. You can use the link to purchase discounted products directly from

How do I know which products are available in the nonprofit catalog?

Please refer to the sample products and pricing on the offer page for a sample of popular products. Note that pricing and product availability are subject to change.

How much of a discount will I receive on products in the nonprofit catalog?

The discount varies by vendor and product. Note that these are manufacturer discounts, not donations, so pricing will be significantly higher than most of the admin fees TechSoup collects for its donated products. Make sure to compare the discounted pricing with product pricing from other sources.

Are all the products in the standard catalog available to nonprofits and libraries?

No. The nonprofit catalog includes a selection of 5,000 technology products. It does not include all the products available to academic licensing customers through the standard website.

After I request this offer, how long do I have access to the nonprofit catalog?

The offer provides access to's catalog of technology products for nonprofits and libraries during the current fiscal year, July 1 through June 30. You can renew your access to the catalog each fiscal year by requesting the offer again.

Is there a limit to the number of products I can purchase on the nonprofit catalog?

No. After you receive access to the nonprofit catalog, you can purchase as many discounted products as you need during the current fiscal year.

Can I just purchase products for my nonprofit or library directly from without requesting this offer?

No. The standard website only offers discounted products to qualified academic customers. If you are a nonprofit or library that does not qualify for academic licensing, the only way to access discounted products through is to request access through TechSoup.

My organization is already eligible for's academic discounts. Would my organization receive additional discounts by requesting this offer?

A select number of products in the nonprofit catalog might have special pricing lower than the academic discounts. However, most of the products in the nonprofit catalog are offered at the same discounted price to both nonprofit and academic customers.

Why is there an admin fee for the access to discounted rates?

TechSoup charges an admin fee to support all of our programs, services, and education, helping nonprofits and charities around the world to use technology to further their missions.
