It even includes some unique features, such as invoice automation and mobile device connections. It also includes some features that are only available on the desktop editions for an additional fee, like phone support, additional backup security, and cloud access. Can I switch to the donated product?Intuit has donated QuickBooks Online Plus for organizations that do not currently have a QuickBooks Online subscription. Existing customers can't request the QuickBooks Plus product in the TechSoup catalog in order to renew or upgrade their current subscription.The process of converting an existing subscription to a donated subscription is manual and requires extensive time and effort on the part of both Intuit and the customer. Intuit Customer Care is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and closed Sunday. (All times are Pacific.)Can I convert a trial edition to a QuickBooks Online donation?Intuit recommends not converting trial editions to donated subscriptions for the same reasons as those listed above. It is possible, but the process is so manual and the trial period is so short that in most cases it's easier to start from a new subscription.If I have Payroll with an existing subscription, will the data transfer?No, Payroll data will not transfer from an existing subscription to a new one. How can I add Payroll?Intuit offers its Payroll service for an additional monthly fee. See the Intuit website for information on how to add this service. Note that if you activate Payroll, QuickBooks Online indicates that you will pay the full amount for both products. This is inaccurate and currently due to a system limitation. Despite this indicator, you will only pay for the Payroll service, and you will not be billed for your QuickBooks Online subscription.When does my subscription begin?Your one-year subscription begins on the date the product request is approved, not the date the account is set up.How do I renew my subscription?Each year after you request the initial subscription product, you will need to request the renewal product to keep your subscription active. With each renewal, Intuit will evaluate your eligibility to participate in the QuickBooks Online donation program. If your organization is no longer eligible or doesn't renew in time, you will need to pay the retail price to keep your subscription active. TechSoup will remind you to renew 30, 15, and 5 days before your subscription is set to expire.
