Nonprofit Eligibility Requirements and Donor Partner Restrictions

To receive donations through TechSoup, your organization must meet certain requirements specified by our technology partners. To determine if your organization is eligible to participate in a particular program, please review the information below.

TechSoup does not provide donated or discounted products to organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive donations.

Please note that certain programs have request limitations that correspond to TechSoup's fiscal calendar (July 1 to June 30). See which programs are affected.

Acclivity Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request one product within the lifetime of an organization.
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of $5 million or less are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: All organization types are eligible for products in this program.
  • Existing customers: Organizations that already own any Acclivity product are not eligible for this donation.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Acclivity products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive donations.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Acclivity for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Acclivity products.

Adobe Restrictions

  • Quantity:
    • Organizations may request up to four donated products per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
    • Organizations may request an unlimited number of individual Creative Cloud and Document Cloud memberships.
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of any size are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: All organization types are eligible for products in this program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Adobe products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive donations.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Adobe for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Donated products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Discounted rates will be distributed to individuals of qualifying organizations only.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Adobe products.

Alpha Software Inc. Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request one product per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of any size are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: All organization types are eligible for products in this program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Alpha Software products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive donations.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Alpha Software for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Alpha Software products.

Amazon Web Services Restrictions

  • Quantity:
    • Organizations may request one initial grant of $2,000 in AWS credits within the lifetime of the organization.
    • Organizations with annual operating budgets of $1 million or less may request one renewal grant in this program within a fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
  • Budget:
    • Organizations with annual operating budgets of any size are eligible to request an initial grant in this program.
    • Organizations with annual operating budgets of $1 million or less are eligible to request renewal grants in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: Educational institutions, including K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and trade schools, are not eligible to request a grant from this program. Educational institutions, educators, and students may be eligible for the AWS Educate program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request a grant must agree to the AWS Credits Program for Nonprofits terms and conditions as a condition to receiving the service.
  • Follow-up survey: Organizations that request a grant must be willing and able to participate in a follow-up survey after they receive this grant.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive a grant in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to AWS for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Credit distribution:
    • Credits will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell credits.

Atlas Business Solutions Restrictions

  • Quantity:
    • Organizations may request one Staff Manager product per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
    • Organizations may request one Visual Staff Schedule product per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
    • Organizations may request one Ultimate Financial Forecaster product per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
    • Organizations may request one ScheduleBase subscription credit ever.
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of any size are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: Organizations that support political parties or candidates are not eligible to request products in this program.
  • Existing customers: Organizations that already subscribe to ScheduleBase are not eligible for the ScheduleBase Subscription Credit product in this program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Atlas Business Solutions products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive donations.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Atlas Business Solutions for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Atlas Business Solutions products.

Atomic Training Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request either of the following but not both within a fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
    • Up to 100 subscriptions for software training
    • Up to 50 subscriptions for both software training and assistive technology training
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of any size are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: The following organization types are not eligible to request products in this program.
    • Schools
    • Organizations that provide school-related activities
  • Existing customers: Organizations that already have an Atomic Training subscription are not eligible for products in this program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Atomic Training products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive donations.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Atomic Training for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Atomic Training products.
    • Organizations with missions that include workforce development, job skills training, worker retraining, youth empowerment, and similar missions may assign registration codes to the intended beneficiaries of their programs.

Autodesk Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request up to two subscriptions per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of $10 million or less are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation.
  • Organization types: The following organization types are not eligible to request products in this program.
    • Non-501(c)(3) public libraries
    • Legislative and political activity organizations
    • Advocacy organizations
    • Employee membership benefit organizations
    • Religious organizations without a secular community designation. A secular designation is defined as an organization separate from the church or religious organization that provides services to people regardless of their religious beliefs and does not propagate a belief in a specific faith.
  • Existing customers: Organizations that requested any Autodesk product outside of a donation program within the past three years are not eligible for this donation without approval from the Autodesk Foundation.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Autodesk products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • License termination: Autodesk reserves the right to terminate licenses at any time if
    • An organization fails to meet the eligibility requirement as determined by and at the sole discretion of Autodesk and its strategic partners
    • An organization fails to maintain membership with TechSoup
    • Autodesk and TechSoup terminate their relationship
    • An organization transfers or resells, or attempts to transfer or resell, an Autodesk product
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive donations.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Autodesk for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Autodesk products.

Azavea Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request an unlimited number of products.
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of any size are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: Religious organizations without a secular community designation are not eligible to request products in this program. A secular designation is defined as an organization separate from the church or religious organization that provides services to people regardless of their religious beliefs and does not propagate a belief in a specific faith.
  • Territories: Organizations in U.S. territories may not request products in this program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Azavea products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Azavea for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Azavea products.

BetterWorld Telecom Restrictions

  • Quantity:
    • Organizations may request one BetterWorld audio conferencing services product within fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
    • Organizations may request one BetterVoice Unified Communications product within the lifetime of the organization.
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of any size are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: All organization types are eligible for products in this program.
  • Existing customers: Organizations that cancel their contracts will not be eligible for the discounted rates specified in the BetterWorld Audio Conferencing Services offer should they choose to obtain services from BetterWorld Telecom at a later time.
  • Territories: Organizations in U.S. territories may not request products in this program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request BetterWorld Telecom products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Subscription termination: BetterWorld Telecom will discontinue the subscriptions of organizations that receive BetterWorld audio conferencing services and do not use the service for 12 consecutive months. Organizations must request the BetterWorld audio conferencing services product from TechSoup and pay the administrative fee again to reactivate a discontinued subscription.
  • BetterVoice Unified Communications: Organizations that request BetterVoice Unified Communications must
    • Agree to a minimum two-year service contract with BetterWorld Telecom for at least one seat
    • Not have contracts with other telecommunications services providers that would prevent them from exiting their current services
    • Provide BetterWorld Telecom with the most recent copies of their bills for all voice and data services so that BetterWorld Telecom may properly assess an organization's needs
    • Have adequate networking equipment and network bandwidth to support their telecommunications needs, or they must purchase additional equipment and bandwidth through BetterWorld Telecom. BetterWorld Telecom will determine if an organization has adequate equipment and bandwidth during its needs assessment
    • Have adequate wiring in their facilities and either install separate wiring for the BetterWorld Telecom phone system or set up a virtual LAN for phone system traffic
    • Be able to troubleshoot their own IT issues, such as those related to internal wiring and networking, and not directly related to the BetterWorld Telecom phone service
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to BetterWorld Telecom for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell BetterWorld Telecom products.

Bidcoz Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request access to discounted rates once per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
  • Budget:
    • Organizations with annual operating budgets of $500,000 or less are eligible for the small organizations product in this program.
    • Organizations with annual operating budgets of more than $500,000 are eligible for the large organizations product in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: All organization types are eligible for products in this program.
  • Existing customers:Organizations that have a Bidcoz subscription outside of TechSoup are not eligible for products in this program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations must agree to Bidcoz's user terms and organization terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Bidcoz for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Bidcoz products.

Bitdefender Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request up to 50 user licenses within a fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). The license quantity limit can apply to one product or be divided among several products.
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of $1.4 million or less are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: The following organization types are not eligible to request products in this program.
    • K-12 schools
    • Colleges
    • Universities
    • Trade schools
    • Some sports, athletic, and social clubs
    • Legislative and political activity organizations
    • Organizations that attempt to influence public opinion
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Bitdefender products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Bitdefender for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Bitdefender products.

Blackbaud Restrictions

  • Quantity:
    • Organizations may request one NOZA product within a fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
    • Organizations may request one eTapestry product within the lifetime of the organization.
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of any size.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: All organization types are eligible for products in this program.
  • Existing customers: Organizations that meet any of the following criteria are not eligible for products in this program.
    • Organizations that are already engaged with an eTapestry sales representative
    • Current or previous eTapestry subscribers unless the organizations obtained the subscription through TechSoup between April 1, 2012, and April 4, 2013.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Blackbaud products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Blackbaud for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Blackbaud products.

Bloomerang Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request one product within the lifetime of the organization.
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of $250,000 or less are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: All organization types are eligible for products in this program.
  • Existing customers: Organizations that have or had a Bloomerang subscription are not eligible for products in this program.
  • Territories: Organizations in U.S. territories may not request products in this program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Bloomerang products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Bloomerang for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.

Box.org Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request one product within the lifetime of the organization.
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of any size are eligible for donated products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: The following organization types are not eligible to request donated products in this program.
    • Educational institutions, including K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and trade schools
    • Hospitals, organizations involved with health insurance or group health plans, and related organizations
    • Credit unions
    • Government agencies
    • Loan or credit reporting organizations
    • Employee or membership benefit organizations
  • Existing customers: Organizations that already have paid subscriptions to Box products are not eligible to renew those subscriptions with products in this program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Box products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive donations.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Box.org for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Box.org products.

Bytes of Learning Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request one product per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of $1 million or less are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: The following organization types are not eligible to request products in this program.
    • Certain educational institutions
    • Certain advocacy groups
    • Computer refurbishing programs
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Bytes of Learning products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Bytes of Learning for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Bytes of Learning products.

Caspio Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request one product within the lifetime of the organization.
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of any size are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: All organization types are eligible for products in this program.
  • Existing customers: Organizations that have a Caspio subscription are not eligible for products in this program unless they obtained the subscription through TechSoup.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Caspio products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Caspio for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.

CauseVox Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request one product within the lifetime of the organization.
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of $5 million or less are eligible for products in this program.
