Sage Peachtree Premium Accounting for Nonprofits 2011 provides accounting and analysis tools to help nonprofit organizations improve their financial management. It is suitable for organizations with 50 or fewer employees. This edition contains all the capabilities of Sage Peachtree Premium Accounting 2011 plus templates, forms, and reports designed specifically to meet the needs of nonprofit organizations.
This TechSoup Limited product is the 2011 version. Sage offers the 2012 version for electronic delivery through its regular donation program.
Tools for Nonprofits
Sage Peachtree Premium Accounting for Nonprofits 2011 has tools specifically useful for nonprofit organizations, such as:
- Two chart of accounts templates specific to nonprofits: one based on the Unified Chart of Accounts and another based on the United Way Guide to Nonprofit Accounting
- Microsoft Word letter templates for fundraising, new donor welcome, and collection of outstanding member and pledge fees
- Nonprofit-oriented report templates including Donor/Grantor Summary, Statement of Financial Position, and Member and Pledges Fees Outstanding
Standard Accounting Tools
Sage Peachtree Premium Accounting 2011 provides all standard accounting tools such as general ledger and bill payment functionality, as well as more than 145 customizable reports. It supports multiple departments or other cost centers with both separate and combined reports.
An audit trail logs when an individual enters, edits, or deletes data. The Internal Accounting Review looks for questionable transactions and common accounting mistakes such as duplicate transactions and cash receipts that do not debit the correct General Ledger cash account. (The Internal Accounting Review is not intended to uncover all questionable transactions, and Sage is not liable or responsible for any fines or penalties that may result from errors in users' accounting records.)
Integration with Other Software
Sage Peachtree Premium Accounting 2011 includes the analysis tool Crystal Reports 2008, which enhances report design and information visualization (see system requirements below). Other analysis tools are multiple-program reporting and encumbrance tracking. Integration with Microsoft Office applications enables such features as creation of fundraising mail merge templates and synchronization with Outlook contacts. Payroll services are not included with this product but are available from Sage for an additional fee.
Licensing
This product includes one user license. Sage Peachtree Premium Accounting 2011 allows up to five simultaneous users to work with the organization's data, but each user must have a separate installation of Premium Accounting 2011 as well as the corresponding user license.
Limited Eligibility
In addition to the standard TechSoup Limited restrictions, the following eligibility requirements apply to this donation:
- One donation of Sage Peachtree Premium Accounting for Nonprofits 2011 may be requested within a fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). This request does not affect the donation limits for any other TechSoup Sage program.
- Only organizations with annual operating budgets of $500,000 or less are eligible to receive this donation.
