QuickBooks helps organizations manage essential financial tasks like paying bills, creating invoices, producing reports, and tracking expenses, contributions, and payments.

QuickBooks Premier 2011, for the small-to-medium-sized organization, allows the installer to select from a general business version or five industry-specific versions:

• Nonprofit Edition
• Contractor Edition
• Manufacturing & Wholesale Edition
• Professional Services Edition
• Retail Edition

Each version includes the features of QuickBooks Premier 2011, plus modifications specifically designed to meet the finance and accounting needs of a particular industry. For example, the Nonprofit Edition provides custom features that nonprofit organizations need for grant tracking, budget creation, financial reporting, and IRS Form 990 data.

Features such as payroll management are available directly from Intuit for additional fees.

Includes Three User Licenses

This product includes three user licenses. Each user must have both a user license and a separate installation of the same edition and version of QuickBooks. The maximum number of users that can work with the organization's data at the same time is five.

Compatibility of QuickBooks Data with QuickBooks Versions

Once an organization's data is updated to a new version of QuickBooks, it can't be opened in the previous version. If an organization wants to allow an outside accountant to work with its data, the accountant must have an edition of QuickBooks released in the same year as the organization's.

Support

QuickBooks Premier includes 30 days of free phone support from Intuit. All support for this product, including online access, will be discontinued approximately three years from the product's original release date.

Limited Eligibility

In addition to the standard TechSoup Limited restrictions, the following eligibility requirements apply to this donation:

• Eligible organizations must have an annual operating budget of less than $3 million.
• Eligible organizations may request one TechSoup Limited Intuit accounting product and one of each of the TechSoup Limited Intuit accessory products per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). Accounting products are the various editions of Quicken and QuickBooks such as Quicken Home & Business and QuickBooks Premier Editions. Accessory products are QuickBooks add-on products such as Learning QuickBooks and QuickBooks Customer Manager. These requests do not affect the product-request limits for any other TechSoup Intuit donation programs.
• Participating organizations must use Intuit products for their own charitable purposes and not sell, trade, barter, or auction any of the goods donated. Donated products cannot be used as door prizes or party favors, sold at auctions or in thrift stores, or otherwise distributed outside the organization's charitable purpose to the general public.
• The following is a list of organization types that are ineligible for this product. For details on eligibility, please contact TechSoup Client Services:
• Boy Scouts of America.
• Organizations that promote political views, influence legislation, or support candidates for public office.
• Religious organizations without a secular community designation. A secular designation is defined as an organization separate from the church or religious organization that provides services to people regardless of their religious beliefs and does not propagate a belief in a specific faith.
• Intuit, Quicken, and QuickBooks, among others, are registered trademarks or registered service marks of Intuit Inc. in the United States and other countries.

When your donation request has been approved, TechSoup will send a message to your organization email address with instructions for obtaining and activating this product.

• Donated product will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
• This donation is available to nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
• Please read the product description carefully to see if there are eligibility limitations such as the location of the organization or a budget limit.
• Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program.
