GoToWebinar is an online web conferencing tool that allows up to 100, 500, or 1,000 attendees and one organizer to meet and collaborate securely over the web and on the phone. A host can invite users to participate in an online seminar on the GoToWebinar website, which can be accessed through any Java-enabled web browser.

Major Capabilities

  • Audio options: The host's GoToWebinar software provides audio for all participants. Each attendee can choose free integrated VoIP services or toll-based phone conferencing using a randomly generated area code and phone number.
  • Desktop sharing: Hosts can share their computer's desktop screen with attendees for both viewing and collaboration. This allows all web participants to see and interact with the same slide show, desktop, or selected application in their web browsers.
  • Video conferencing: Up to six participants can share live video streams in a meeting with HDFaces high-definition video conferencing.
  • Software integration: Microsoft Office users on Windows can collaborate on an open file by clicking a Meet Now link within Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.
  • Recording and playback: Hosts can record webinar sessions — including audio — for future review and reuse. They can post recordings on a website or email them for on-demand viewing.
  • Webinar aids: GoToWebinar includes all of the capabilities of GoToMeeting and gives hosts the following additional abilities.
    • Give multiple guest panelists speaking and control privileges right from the start
    • Before the webinar begins, gather co-presenters for a pre-meeting conference call
    • View and respond to questions from attendees
    • Practice in advance to make sure everything goes as planned

Discounted Rates

This offer provides access to a 50 percent discount on a one-year subscription for new GoToWebinar users at GetGo's current rates. After you request this offer through TechSoup, you'll pay GetGo directly for the discounted subscription.

The discounted subscription allows you to host an unlimited number of webinars for one year. You can choose from three tiers of service, depending on the number of attendees you want to include in a single webinar:

  • Up to 100 attendees
  • Up to 500 attendees
  • Up to 1,000 attendees

Each tier includes one organizer seat.

The subscription also includes a GoToMeeting subscription for hosting online meetings of 25 or fewer attendees without GoToWebinar's audience management and large-group capabilities.

Service Contract RequiredYou must agree to a one-year service contract with GetGo. See GetGo terms of service.
Continuing Service After One YearAfter the initial one-year period ends, GetGo will automatically renew the subscription at a discount of 50 percent off the retail price unless you choose to cancel.
Existing Subscribers IneligibleYou can request this offer only if you do not already have a paid GoToWebinar subscription.
Previewing GoToWebinarIf you've participated in a free GoToWebinar trial, you'll need to create a new account using a different email address to receive this discounted subscription. Trial accounts cannot be converted to accounts obtained through this offer.
Credit Card RequiredGetGo requires a valid credit card number to pay for your discounted service and for automatic renewals.

Rules, Eligibility and Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request access to discounted rates for all of the following. These limits apply to the lifetime of the organization, not a fiscal year.
    • One discounted GoToAssist Remote Support subscription
    • One discounted GoToAssist Service Desk subscription
    • An unlimited number of discounted GoToMeeting subscriptions
    • An unlimited number of discounted GoToMyPC subscriptions
    • An unlimited number of discounted GoToTraining subscriptions
    • An unlimited number of discounted GoToWebinar subscriptions
  • Budget:
    • Organizations with annual operating budgets of $5 million or less are eligible for receive access to discounted rates for GoToMeeting, GoToMyPC, and GoToTraining.
    • Organizations with annual operating budgets of $10 million or less are eligible for access to discounted rates for GoToWebinar, GoToAssist Remote Support, and GoToAssist Service Desk.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: The following organization types are not eligible to request products in this program.
    • Mutual organizations
    • Employee or membership benefit organizations
    • Organizations that support political parties or candidates
    • Advocacy groups
    • Booster clubs
    • Some other organizations
  • Existing customers: Organizations that already have subscriptions to GetGo products are not eligible to renew those subscriptions with products in this program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request GetGo products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to GetGo for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell GetGo products.
