Description

GoToAssist Remote Support is an online tool that allows IT staff to provide technical support by remotely accessing and controlling users' computers and mobile devices.

This offer provides access to a 50 percent discount on a one-year subscription for new GoToAssist users at Citrix's current rates. After you request this offer through TechSoup, you'll pay Citrix directly for the discounted subscription.

Benefits for Organizations

If you have dedicated IT staff, you can use GoToAssist Remote Support to:

  • Cut travel costs when supporting remote users
  • Improve security by upgrading devices when users aren't present
  • Reduce time spent on routine repairs and upgrades

Major Capabilities

  • Live support: Your IT technicians can connect with and support up to eight live users at a time. Both users and technicians can chat and share their screens with each other.
  • Remote access and control of unattended computers: An IT technician can support remote computers and servers without an end user present for emergency work or routine maintenance. The end-user will need to first install GoToAssist software in order for IT staff to connect to it.
  • Team-based support: The web-based Management Center allows you to set up multiple technicians, assign permissions, and specify which unattended computers and devices they can access.
  • Mobile devices: IT staff members can remotely access and support mobile devices. They can also use GoToAssist on an iPad or Android mobile device to remotely access and support other computers.

Subscription Details

This discounted subscription offers three tiers of Remote Support service, depending on the number of IT technicians that need to provide support:

  • One technician who can support 100 unattended machines and host unlimited live sessions: $330 per year
  • Two technicians who can support 200 unattended machines and host unlimited live sessions: $660 per year
  • Three technicians who can support 300 unattended machines and host unlimited live sessions: $990 per year

IT staff members can connect to an unlimited number of live sessions, but only eight simultaneously. Depending on which tier you choose, you can register up to 100, 200, or 300 unattended computers to access through the GoToAssist interface.

GoToAssist offers modules in addition to Remote Support: Service Desk and Monitoring. To use these modules, you must purchase them directly from Citrix at retail prices.

If you have an existing GoToAssist or Citrix account from a prior subscription, TechSoup offer, or free trial, you'll need to create a new account using a different email address to receive this discounted subscription. You cannot use this product to renew a GoToAssist subscription.

Discounted Renewals

After the initial one-year period ends, Citrix will automatically renew the subscription at a discount of 50 percent off the retail price unless you choose to cancel.

Credit Card Required

Citrix requires a valid credit card number to pay for your discounted service and for automatic renewals.

Support

This offer includes phone and email support and access to online help files, training videos, and user guides 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

TechSoup cannot refund the administrative fee for this product and you cannot exchange it.

Rules, Eligibility and Restrictions

  • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
  • Each eligible organization may receive access to discounted rates for all of the following:
    • One discounted GoToAssist subscription
    • One discounted ShareFile subscription
    • An unlimited number of discounted GoToMeeting subscriptions
    • An unlimited number of discounted GoToMyPC subscriptions
    • An unlimited number of discounted GoToTraining subscriptions
    • An unlimited number of discounted GoToWebinar subscriptions
  • These limits apply to the lifetime of the organization, not to a fiscal year.
  • Only organizations with annual operating budgets of $5 million or less are eligible to receive GoToMeeting, GoToMyPC, and GoToTraining. Organizations with annual operating budgets of $10 million or less are eligible to receive GoToWebinar, GoToAssist Remote Support, and ShareFile.
  • This offer is available to nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • This offer will not be made available to mutual organizations, employee or membership benefit organizations, organizations that support political parties or candidates, advocacy groups, booster clubs, and some other organizations.
  • Religious organizations without a secular community designation are not eligible to participate in this program. A secular designation is defined as an organization separate from the church or religious organization that provides services to people regardless of their religious beliefs and does not propagate a belief in a specific faith.
  • Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Citrix for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive this offer.
  • Citrix products may not be transferred or resold.
