Exceed! Basic is fundraising and donor management software for small to medium-sized nonprofits.

This donation provides one license. You can create multiple user profiles with one license, but only one user can be logged in and access the database at any one time.

You can use Exceed! Basic to:

  • Manage information about donors, prospects, board members, volunteers, and other constituents
  • Organize and track donor gifts, pledges, and dues
  • Create reports to target and analyze campaigns
  • Create emails, letters, and labels for marketing campaigns

Major Capabilities

  • Donor management: You can store several types of donor information, including custom fields, in a centralized database.
  • Donation tracking: You can track multiple types of payments such as simple donations, pledges, memberships, memorials, and honor gifts.
  • Reporting: You can choose from several standard reports or create custom queries. Reports can include charts or graphs.
  • QuickBooks integration: You can post transactions directly into QuickBooks and import contact information into Exceed! Basic.
  • Email marketing integration: You can enroll with the Vertical Response marketing service to send up to 10,000 emails per month at no charge. You can also integrate with Constant Contact to transfer email addresses and other important information between that service and Exceed! Basic.
  • Office integration: You can export email and mailing data to Microsoft Office and other products. You can also make Outlook appointments and contact records.


The donor partner provides no support for this product unless a technical support package is purchased.

Special pricing for is available to TechSoup donation recipients for:

  • Technical support packages. Telosa technical support is supplied only through a separate contract.
  • Multi-user upgrades for organizations that need two to five concurrent users.

Obtaining This Product

Expect two emails. When TechSoup approves your donation request, we will send a message to your organization email address with preliminary information about obtaining this product. Shortly after, the donor partner will send an email with information needed to complete the installation or activation.

Rules, Eligibility and Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request one Exceed! Basic product per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30) and one Exceed! Premier product within the lifetime of the organization.
  • Budget:
    • Organizations with annual operating budgets of $50,000 or less are eligible for the donated products in this program.
    • Organizations with annual operating budgets of more than $50,000 and less than $500,000 are eligible for discounted products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: All organization types are eligible for products in this program.
  • Existing customers: Organizations that already own any Telosa products are not eligible to request Exceed! Premier products through this program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Telosa products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Telosa for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Telosa products.
