  • Download postage and postal rate changes directly to the system from the Pitney Bowes datacenter through a PC's Internet connection or a local area network (LAN) with Internet access

Discounted Rates

This offer allows nonprofit organizations and public libraries to rent the Pitney Bowes DM225 postage meter for $24.99 a month, a 62 percent savings compared to retail. The rate is guaranteed for a year following a 60-day free trial.

This offer includes the following.

  • Postage meter.
  • 10-pound scale.
  • Semi-automatic envelope feed.
  • Service agreement, including maintenance and repair.
  • One ink cartridge, capable of producing up to 3,000 impressions plus a supply of shipping labels. Subsequent supplies can be purchased from Pitney Bowes at list price.

The meter qualifies for discounted rates the USPS offers for metered mail.

Service Contract Required

The rental term is open-ended. Pitney Bowes asks for a commitment of at least a year, but organizations are not contractually obligated for any length of time. The hardware must be returned to Pitney Bowes at the end of the rental term.

Credit Card RequiredPitney Bowes will require each organization to provide a credit card that will be billed each month and charged for services such as downloaded postage resets. There is an initial minimum postage purchase of $30.

Rules, Eligibility and Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request one product per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of any size are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: The following organization types are not eligible to request products in the program.
    • Schools
    • Most health services organizations
    • Scientific researchers
    • Business and professional organizations
    • Agricultural organizations
    • Mutual organizations
    • Membership benefit organizations
    • Legal aid groups
    • Political and advocacy groups
    • Some other organizations
  • Existing customers: Organizations that have a Pitney Bowes subscription are not eligible for products in this program.
  • Territories: Organizations in U.S. territories may not request products in this program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Pitney Bowes products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Pitney Bowes for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Pitney Bowes products.
