The make and model pictured may not be the make and model you receive. All software is preinstalled. The keyboard and mouse are new, not refurbished. A monitor is not included, but through TechSoup, you can request a refurbished LCD monitor. Obtaining This Product

TechSoup will send a message to your organization email address when we approve your request. Please read this message: it contains important time-sensitive information on warranties, troubleshooting, returns, and more.

After TechSoup approves your request, our refurbisher partner InterConnection will ship your hardware within 10 business days and send your shipment tracking number via email. Additional charges and longer shipping times may apply to shipments to Alaska or Hawaii.

Restoration Options

InterConnection preinstalls the software, including the operating system, which allows you to restore your system. System restorations require the license keys provided with your product.

Warranty, Shipping, and Returns

InterConnection covers this computer with a one-year warranty, which includes troubleshooting.

You can also request a one-year extended warranty. It provides an additional year of coverage to one RCI desktop product. You must request it at the same time as the desktop product.

Additional charges and longer shipping times may apply to orders from Alaska and Hawaii.

Free Recycling

When your RCI equipment reaches the end of its life, send it back for free and responsible recycling with the RCI End-of-Life TakeBack Program.

Rules, Eligibility and Restrictions

  • Quantity:
    • Organizations may request an unlimited number of products but must first contact when requesting more than 10 of any individual product. Inventory is subject to availability.
    • Organizations may request only one extended warranty product per corresponding desktop product when available.
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of any size are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and public libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types:
    • All organization types are eligible for products in this program without Microsoft Office installed.
    • The following organization types are not eligible to request products in this program with Microsoft Office installed.
      • Governmental organizations or agencies
      • Educational institutions, including K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and trade schools
      • Healthcare organizations and networks, including hospitals, specialty networks, ambulatory healthcare services, home healthcare and assisted living healthcare organizations, health research organizations, and laboratories
      • Political, labor, and fraternal organizations; commerce and trade associations without charitable aims or activities that benefit nonmembers; sponsorships of events, tables, exhibitions, or performances; fundraising events such as luncheons, dinners, walks, runs, or sports tournaments
      • Refurbishers that will install the donated software on refurbished computers and distribute or donate them to nonprofits or schools (these organizations may be eligible for the Registered Refurbisher Program)
      • Nonpublic libraries, including private libraries, school libraries, specialty libraries, armed forces libraries, and libraries in government agencies.
  • Territories: Organizations in U.S. territories may not request products in this program.
  • Alaska and Hawaii: Additional charges and longer shipping times may apply to shipments to Alaska or Hawaii.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Refurbished Computer Initiative products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Microsoft agreement: Organizations that receive products from this program with Microsoft products installed must accept the Microsoft Registered Refurbisher Program's Eligible Recipient Agreement when first starting each computer.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to TechSoup's refurbisher partners for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Refurbished Computer Initiative products.
