Description

This is a low-tier, Condition A refurbished laptop computer provided by refurbisher partner InterConnection.

It includes:

  • An Intel Core 2 Duo processor, minimum 80 GB hard disk, and minimum 2 GB RAM
  • A Windows operating system
  • A Microsoft Office suite
  • Norton Internet Security
  • An AC power adapter

Computer Condition This is a Condition A laptop. It meets the highest functional and cosmetic standards of refurbished equipment.
Software Included

This computer includes the 64-bit edition of Windows 7 Professional.

Office 2010 Home and Business includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook.

This computer also includes Norton Internet Security, donated by Symantec. You will need a license key to activate it. TechSoup will send you this key by email when we approve your request. InterConnection will include additional instructions for activating your preinstalled security software with your computer shipment.

Restoration Options InterConnection preinstalls the software and provides restoration files for Windows, Office, and Norton Internet Security in a partition of the hard disk. Your computer shipment includes instructions on accessing this partition. (Microsoft and Symantec do not allow refurbishers to distribute installation or restoration discs with this product.)
Shipping, Warranty, and Returns

InterConnection covers this computer with a one-year warranty, which includes troubleshooting.

Obtaining This Product

TechSoup will send a message to your organization email address when we approve your request. Please read this message: it contains important time-sensitive information on warranties, troubleshooting, returns, and more.

InterConnection will ship your equipment via ground within 10 business days after TechSoup approves your request. After that, it may take up to five days (seven days for Alaska or Hawaii) to receive your equipment.

Rules, Eligibility and Restrictions

  • Product will be distributed only to qualifying organizations, not individuals.
  • Organizations may request as many RCI products as they need. However, each request may include no more than 10 of any individual product. For requests with more than 10 of an individual RCI product, please make arrangements with TechSoup (subject to inventory availability).
  • Products are available to organizations with operating budgets of any size.
  • Products are available to nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Products are not available to organizations in U.S. territories.
  • Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program. This includes how the organization will use the products, what operational and mission impact the products are expected to provide, feedback on the program's overall process, any problems or concerns, and possible improvements.
  • Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive donations.
  • TechSoup's refurbisher partner will supply recipients of computers with preinstalled versions of a Microsoft operating system and Office suite with an electronic copy of the Microsoft Registered Refurbisher Program's Eligible Recipient Agreement. Each recipient organization must accept this agreement when first starting each computer.
  • Organizations may not transfer or resell RCI products.
