More informations about this product

Description

The Cisco 876-K9 is one of the 870 Series of integrated services routers. These fixed-configuration routers can be used to establish secure virtual private network (VPN) connections from small remote offices and teleworkers to larger enterprise networks.

The four-port 10/100-Mbps managed switch provides connections for multiple devices and has the ability to designate a port as the network demilitarized zone (DMZ). Virtual local area network (VLAN) support allows computers to be moved to another location without reconfiguration.

The Cisco Router and Security Device Manager (SDM) Web-based configuration tool simplifies setup and deployment. Its centralized management capabilities give network managers visibility and control of the network configurations at the remote site.

The Cisco 876-K9 model is useful when the connection to the rest of the network is through Ethernet cable or asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) over integrated services digital network (ISDN) line. It also has an integrated ISDN basic rate interface (BRI) S/T port for a backup ISDN line.

Three weeks after your donation has arrived in its entirety, your SMARTnet contract number will be available on the Donation Request History page in your TechSoup account. After that coverage expires, donation recipients are strongly encouraged to renew their SMARTnet service and support agreement annually, for as long as they own the equipment or until that equipment is declared end of life (EOL) and no longer supported by Cisco.
  • Grants that are donated within three months of a sale are not considered as a donation by the IRS; instead, the IRS considers these products an additional discount to the sale. Therefore, TechSoup donations cannot be given to organizations that have purchased Cisco equipment within the last three months or that plan to purchase Cisco equipment within the next three months. TechSoup donations done in conjunction with a Cisco sale are not allowed.
