AccountEdge Pro for Mac is financial management software for small or medium-sized organizations.

This donation provides one user license. If more users are needed, organizations should request AccountEdge Network Edition and then purchase additional user licenses directly from Acclivity at the discounted rate offered to new TechSoup recipients.

If you have accounting experience or have access to an accounting consultant, you can use AccountEdge for banking, sales and expense tracking, customer management, purchases and payables, inventory, and payroll.

Major Capabilities

  • Reports: More than 200 reports are built into AccountEdge, including Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Customer Ledger, and Cash Flow Analysis.
  • Nonprofit template: Although AccountEdge is not designed as nonprofit software, it features an Accounts List template for nonprofits that you can modify to suit your needs.
  • Payroll: The Payroll Easy Setup Assistant manages tax tables, payroll year, employee cards, and other information. The Process Payroll Assistant streamlines payroll with a four-step system. Payroll-related add-ons and services are available directly from Acclivity at retail prices. Payroll tax updates are available to new TechSoup recipients at a discounted annual subscription rate.
  • Integrated emailing: You can email statements, invoices, and quotes from within AccountEdge, either in batches or individually. You can create email templates using merge tags, such as customer name, amount due, and transaction ID.
  • Mobile capabilities: AccountEdge Mobile for iPhone and iPad is a free application that lets users enter transaction and sales data when they're away from the office and synchronize that data with the desktop and network versions of AccountEdge.

Besides payroll tax updates and workstation licenses, which qualify for a discount, other add-on services and solutions are available directly from Acclivity at retail prices.


AccountEdge includes 30 days of free phone and email support. After this, new TechSoup recipients can purchase a discounted annual support plan directly from Acclivity. In addition, the Acclivity website includes a discussion board and a searchable knowledge base.

When TechSoup approves your donation request, we will send a message to your organization email address with instructions for obtaining and activating this product.

Rules, Eligibility and Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request one donated product within the lifetime of the organization.
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of $5 million or less are eligible for donated products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Existing customers: Organizations that already own any Acclivity product are not eligible for this donation.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Acclivity products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Acclivity for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Acclivity products.
