ADP Payroll for Nonprofits is an online service for nonprofit organizations with 49 or fewer employees to process payroll and file taxes.

This offer provides access to a 60 percent discount on a subscription to ADP Payroll. After you request this offer through TechSoup, you'll pay ADP through Gregg S. Bosson, CPA, PC, the licensed ADP partner, for any payroll services. See the Details and Service Costs tab for more information.

This offer is only available to organizations with 49 or fewer employees.

United States Only

ADP Payroll for Nonprofits does not process payroll for employees who live outside of the United States.

Discounted Rates

This offer provides access to a 60 percent discount on a subscription to ADP Payroll. After you request this offer and pay TechSoup's administrative fee, you'll also pay the licensed ADP partner directly for the discounted subscription.

You'll directly remit your payroll setup and the following processing fees to the licensed ADP partner for the discounted subscription.

  • $25 for setup, paid once
  • $36 per payroll processing period for check processing, paid per payroll run (minimum twice per month)
  • $1 per check processed
  • $10 for delivery of live checks, if applicable, paid per payroll run

The live check delivery fee only applies if your organization issues paper checks. If your organization pays its employees with direct deposit, this fee does not apply.

Service Contract Required

You must agree to a service contract with the licensed ADP partner, but there is no contractual length obligation. You can cancel anytime.

Continuing Service

As long as you use the service, it does not need to be renewed.

If you wish to cancel the service, you can call or email the licensed ADP partner. To resume service after canceling, re-request this product.

Existing Subscribers Eligible

This offer is available to current or former ADP users. Current users can request that their contract be transferred to go through the licensed ADP partner for ADP Payroll for Nonprofits.

Payroll Bank Account Required

The licensed ADP partner will collect payments by automatic debits from the organization's bank account. This account is assigned in the service contract. Payments are collected with each payroll run.

Rules, Eligibility and Restrictions

  • Quantity: Organizations may request one ADP product per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of $1 million or less are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: All organization types are eligible for products in this program.
  • Territories: Organizations in U.S. territories may not request products in this program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request ADP products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to ADP for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell ADP products.
