Description

QuickBooks Online Plus is online accounting software that helps organizations manage essential financial tasks like creating invoices, producing reports, and tracking expenses, contributions, and payments.

This donation provides a one-year subscription for up to five users for QuickBooks Online Plus; however, you must reconfirm your eligibility each fiscal year. See the Subscription Details tab for more information.

  • Create a chart of accounts that categorizes and views expenses the way IRS Form 990 requires
  • Draft reports that show how much money has been contributed and spent to date by donor or by grant
  • Plan budgets based on fundraising and expense data and comparing actual income and expenses to budgeted amounts
  • Use business planning and analysis tools, such as the Statement of Financial Income & Expense
  • Organize tax, donor, vendor, employee, and general company information in separate centers while allowing an accountant to simultaneously work on the system

Major Capabilities

  • Email integration: You can directly email invoices and estimates from within QuickBooks Online.
  • Data import: QuickBooks Online can import data from Excel, the QuickBooks desktop edition, or CSV files. See the Subscription Details tab for system requirements.
  • File attachments: The Attachment Center lets you attach and store receipts, estimates, and other documents to invoices and customer files.
  • Cloud backup: You can automatically store your accounting data in the cloud. Data access is subject to network availability and occasional downtime due to events beyond Intuit's control.
  • Mobile access: The QuickBooks Online mobile app works with iOS and Android devices. See the Subscription Details tab for system requirements.
  • Built-in business reports: QuickBooks Online Plus includes more than 65 built-in business reports and budget planning tools to help you estimate future donations and expenditures.
  • Donor management app integration: QuickBooks Online syncs with DonorPath and Method:Donor. Each application is subject to additional terms, conditions, and fees.

Subscription Limits

Up to five users can access QuickBooks Online Plus.

Continuing Service After One Year

You must reconfirm your eligibility by requesting the renewal product through TechSoup each fiscal year before the subscription expires. If you do not reconfirm your eligibility in time, you must pay the retail price. TechSoup will notify you when it's time to reconfirm your eligibility.

Data Import

You can import data from a desktop version of QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, or a text file. Read the Intuit QuickBooks Online FAQ for more information.

Mobile Access

The QuickBooks Online mobile app works with iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets. Devices are sold separately, and a data plan is required. Not all features are available on the mobile app and mobile website. QuickBooks Online mobile access is included with your QuickBooks Online subscription at no additional cost. Data access is subject to network availability and occasional downtime due to events beyond Intuit's control. Product registration is required to use the mobile app.

Data Retention

If your organization is no longer eligible for QuickBooks Online or you choose not to renew your subscription, Intuit will retain your data for one year beyond the date of cancellation. See Intuit's data retention policy for more information.

Existing Subscribers

This offer is intended for organizations that do not already have a QuickBooks Online subscription. If you previously obtained a QuickBooks Online subscription through TechSoup, you must request the renewal product to reconfirm your eligibility.

If your organization obtained a QuickBooks Online subscription outside of TechSoup, you must export your data, cancel your existing subscription, request this product, activate it, rebuild your company file, and reimport your data.

Additional Services

Features like QuickBooks Online Payroll and the ability to accept online and mobile payments are available directly from Intuit for additional fees. If you activate the payroll feature, you will see a price listed for QuickBooks Online, but you will not be charged.

Compatibility of QuickBooks Data with QuickBooks Versions

You can import data into QuickBooks Online from QuickBooks Pro 2008 or later, Premier 2008 or later, or Mac 2013 or later. Earlier versions require a downloadable tool.

You must import from QuickBooks desktop within the first 60 days of setting up your new QuickBooks Online account.

Up to two outside accountants can work with your data.

Rules, Eligibility and Restrictions

  • Quantity:
    • QuickBooks Premier and QuickBooks for Mac: Organizations may request one desktop product per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
    • QuickBooks Online: Organizations may request one initial subscription product within the lifetime of the organization and one subscription renewal product per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
  • Budget: Organizations with annual operating budgets of less than $10 million are eligible for products in this program.
  • Nonprofits and libraries only: Products in this program are available only to qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • Organization types: Legislative, political (except for voter registration), and advocacy organizations are not eligible to request products in this program.
  • Terms of service: Organizations that request Intuit products must agree to any applicable terms of service.
  • Copyright: Intuit and QuickBooks, among others, are registered trademarks or registered service marks of Intuit Inc. in the United States and other countries.
  • Anti-discrimination policy: Organizations that engage in discrimination when offering or providing social services or in employment practices (hiring, compensation, training, promotion, termination, or retirement) on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, disability, gender identity or expression, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, political affiliation, union membership, or veteran status, other than as allowed by law, are not eligible to participate in this program.
  • Case study: Recipient organizations must be willing and able to provide information to Intuit for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial on this program.
  • Product distribution:
    • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
    • Recipient organizations may not transfer or resell Intuit products.
