Description

QuickBooks Made Easy for Nonprofits: The Essentials is DVD-ROM-based training that demonstrates how to set up books correctly, enter transactions common to nonprofits, and create nonprofit-specific reports. These tasks can be done with all 2015 and earlier versions of QuickBooks for Windows and Mac and also with the online versions.

This product includes a DVD-ROM with about five hours of video lessons. It also includes a printed follow-along handbook that can be used with the video lessons or separately. It does not include a copy of QuickBooks.

Ideally, if you don't yet use QuickBooks, your setup will match the IRS 990 reporting requirements and be correctly prepared for financial statement audits.

License Information

The DVD-ROM can be used by anyone in the organization. However, it must be installed on the trainee's computer and can only be used by one person at a time.

Support

QuickBooks Made Easy includes a 30-day option to obtain a phone support plan for $100. Support plans last for a period of one year and include an unlimited number of phone calls. You will be assigned a U.S.-based QuickBooks expert. These experts are trained on transactions specific to nonprofits and understand their unique tracking and reporting needs.

Obtaining This Product

When your request has been approved, your product will be shipped from the TechSoup warehouse. This product can only be shipped to physical addresses, not PO Boxes.

    • For Windows computers: Windows 2000 or later

Rules, Eligibility and Restrictions

  • Products will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
  • QuickBooks Made Easy donated and discounted products are available to nonprofits with 501(c)(3) designation and to public libraries. Public libraries must either have valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status or be listed in the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) database.
  • For the donated product, eligible organizations must have annual operating budgets of $50,000 or less. For the discounted product, eligible organizations must have annual operating budgets between $50,001 and $2 million.
  • Organizations may request one product within a fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
  • Organizations that advocate, support, or practice discrimination based on age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background are not eligible to participate in this program. Organizations must be willing and able to attest that they do not discriminate on any of these grounds in order to receive products.
  • QuickBooks Made Easy products may not be transferred or resold.
