Where are the Recycling Lists and TechFinder?
We have taken down our TechSoup resource listings to donate hardware and also our listings on where to find recycled hardware.
- If you need low-cost warrantied refurbished computers, visit TechSoup’s Refurbished Computer Initiative.
- If you are interested in donating your used pcs and have working equipment that is five years old (or newer) in quantities greater than 50, please consider donating them to TechSoup’s Refurbished Computer Initiative program.
- If you are interested in donating and have working five year old (or newer) equipment in smaller quantities, find refurbishers that accept donated IT equipment via the directory of Microsoft Registered Refurbishers.
- If you have broken or older than five year old IT equipment to discard or donate, find electronics recyclers in your vicinity at Earth 911.
- Find out more about TechSoup’s ongoing work in the field of electronics recycling and refurbishment.
TechSoup and NTEN have decided to retire the TechFinder service on our websites.
With TechFinder gone – where to turn? We don’t want to leave you without support, so please take a look at the online services listed below. They might help you find what you are looking for.
- NTEN: The Nonprofit Technology Network
- Member directory: Find technically savvy individuals by country, city, and state.
- Speaker Directory: Find more than 450 speakers and their areas of expertise from past NTEN conferences and webinars.
- Request for Proposals Forum: Here you can post RFPs and job descriptions.
- AspirationTech.org: Aspiration is working with us to transition the TechFinder data to a new home, where the data will be maintained by the larger technical community.
- TechSoup: Our community forums provide online support from talented technology experts for free and our LinkedIn group has a job board and discussion threads where you can engage technical consultants.
- The Nonprofit Matrix: A guide to commercial ASP and portal providers.
- NPower: A network of locally-based nonprofit organizations that provide technology assistance to other nonprofit groups nationally.
- Opportunity Knocks: Opportunity Knocks is a national online job site, HR resource, and career development destination focused exclusively on the nonprofit community. Once you have joined you can search resumes.

- Idealist.org: Idealist is an interactive site where people and organizations can exchange resources and ideas, locate opportunities and supporters, and take steps toward building a world where all people can lead free and dignified lives.
- Contact your state’s nonprofit association, which may provide consulting or referral services as well as a list of local nonprofit consultants.

- Tech Underground: A collective of independent technology consultants who work with nonprofit organizations in and around the San Francisco Bay Area.
- The Foundation Center has a page answering the question, "Where can I find technical assistance or a consultant for my nonprofit?"
*Please understand that neither TechSoup nor NTEN can recommend or endorse any services, consultants or firms.
If you have suggestions about additional resources or similar services for our users, we would very much appreciate hearing them.
You can also contact us at techfinder (AT) techsoup (DOT) org if you have significant concerns about TechFinder no longer being available.
And, keep in mind that TechSoup.org offers a wealth of information, a wide array of technology donations, and, last but not least, a very active community.
Thank you for your support of TechFinder — we hope to see you in the forums!
