Speaker Information

Marian Merritt provides consumer-friendly insights into technology issues impacting families as Norton’s Internet Safety Advocate. Merritt authored Norton’s “Family Online Safety Guide,” an award-winning practical guide for parents on protecting children online and she is editor-in-chief of the Norton Family Resource Website. She has been with Symantec/Norton’s consumer team for over 13 years.

Merritt has appeared on numerous TV, radio, online and print news programs including ABC’s “Good Morning America”, New York Times, Fox News, CNN, Canada’s CBC, Australia’s “Sunrise”, CNET.com, CNN.com, Parenting magazine, Family Circle magazine and others discussing issues of Internet safety. She serves on the Board for the Family Online Safety Institute. Merritt completed her MBA from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and has a BSBA from Boston University’s School of Management. She is a mother of three school-aged children and resides in Los Angeles.
