TechSoup Survey Results

In September 2005, TechSoup began a series of community surveys. Originally designed to help us inform our upcoming Web site redesign, the surveys have evolved into a way for us to check in with our community, informing our ideas for TechSoup content, services, and functionality.

Recent Surveys

• Nonprofits Weigh Green Technology Survey
  March 3 - March 25, 2008
  In honor of Earth Day, TechSoup ran a Green Survey on TechSoup from March 3rd 2008 till March 25th 2008. The purpose of this survey was to determine the following: current availability of green technology information and services, current knowledge of green practices and interest level in green tech and services.
• Web Usage Survey 2007
  In 2006, we did a survey on Web Usage with the goal of taking the pulse of how our users use the web in relationship to the general population. After conducting this survey, we thought it would be meaningful to measure this over time. We are particularly interested in Web 2.0 tools being used. Are our users utilizing web 2.0 tools?
• How You Use TechSoup Survey
  May 2 - June 4, 2007
  The goal of the How You Use TechSoup survey was to better understand how users utilize TechSoup's full suite of services.
• Web Hosting Survey
  January 15 - February 9, 2007
  The goal of the Web hosting survey was to determine the Web hosting services used, what the criteria were for selecting it and how likely organizations are to change web hosting services.
• Web Usage Survey
  October 3 – November 7, 2006
  The goal of the Web Usage Survey was to get an understanding of how TechSoup users use the Web.
• Content Support for Products Survey
  June 5 – July 5, 2006
  Explores how nonprofits use TechSoup's suite of services, which includes products, content, and community.
• Roles and Responsibilities Survey Results
  May 8 – June 5, 2006
  Learn the different roles employees play within a nonprofit.
