For nonprofits and libraries with little or no in-house tech staff, it can be difficult to determine when you can "wing it" and use your own skills for a technology project and when to rely on outside help. Some external tech help can take the form of friends or volunteers while other times you may need to call on professional, paid tech services.

In this webinar with Linda Widdop of Tech Impact, we'll discuss what managed IT services are, and how to determine which projects and ongoing technology needs are best handled by the pros.

Speaker Information

Linda Widdop is the Director of Technology Services at Tech Impact. She manages all aspects of client relations including providing nonprofits with project plan and budget development, implementation oversight and resource allocation to projects. In addition, Linda works with local, regional and national partners to provide the nonprofit community with increased knowledge of technology through speaking engagements. With recent advances in cloud computing, Linda is focusing on moving nonprofits to leverage cloud solutions to lower IT costs while gaining access to best of breed technology.

Linda is uniquely qualified to lead Tech Impact's technology services. She has been in the computer field since 1983, starting with assembling PCs. During these 20-plus years, she has worked in manufacturing, corporate and retail environments on her way to the non-profit world. She has trained thousands, and provided IT consulting and implementation services to hundreds, of individuals and organizations.

Nancy Millard is the Administrative Manager at the Rodel Foundation of Delaware. In her role, Nancy manages the organization's day to day operations, provides tech support for a team of 15 and works with the Chief Operating Officer on grants administration and financial reporting.
