Melissa Jun Rowley is social entrepreneur focused on the importance of corporate social responsibility and connecting brands and nonprofits. She is also a television and online journalist, who has covered business news from the New York Stock Exchange for CNN Business News, red carpet glamour from the Oscars for CNN Entertainment, and social action movements for Causecast and Mashable. She has also produced and reported for Associated Press Television News, AMC, TV Guide Channel, E! Entertainment and TechTV. Melissa is currently a Cause Correspondent for Whatgives.com.
Erika Padilla-Morales is a youth worker and media arts educator focused on empowering educators in formal and informal settings about their power to impact their curriculum and students through media arts. She has directly trained over 70 educators and supported over 2000 students from underserved communities create and showcase digital media projects since 2006. Erika currently serves Streetside Stories as a Media Arts Coach.
Through the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Innovation and Improvement, she supports educators who are integrating media into classroom curriculum. She believes everyone should share their stories because storytelling is the original human form of education. Streetside Stories is a 20 year old arts-in-education organization serving the San Francisco Bay Area.
