Mark Margolis, is the President of GetStoried, a new kind of education and publishing company. The son of an inventor and artist, Michael is fascinated with how ideas are socialized into accepted reality. For the last decade, Michael's mission has been to teach the world how to use storytelling in the change-making and creative process.
In the past year, Michael published a Storytelling Manifesto, launched a virtual Story University, and consulted to groups including Audubon, Omnicom, and Zappos.com. By embracing a DIY ethos, Michael is gathering a new tribe of storytellers, and building a leading destination hub online for the business of storytelling. Michael loves to frame meaningful conversations and presents at conferences around the world. He is currently developing a range of curriculum for applying storytelling to the practice of branding, social media, innovation, and social change. And partners extensively with a range of business and social sector organizations.
Rob Kershaw is the Director of Canadian Projects for the Center of Digital Storytelling (CDS) and coordinator of the Center’s Witness Tree program initiative. Robert has been facilitating digital storytelling workshops and supporting community media projects in Canada, the United States and internationally since 2001, most recently in the Inuit community of Rigolet, Nunatsiavut and the sub-arctic communities of Déline and Norman Wells in the Sahtu Region of the NWT. Rob is a graduate of the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Communications Studies. He has written or designed and edited a number of books including and currently lives in Berkeley, California with his wife and two children.
