Want to make your presentations more visually engaging and collaborative? Learn how during the first webinar in our Microsoft Tips and Tricks series, Creating Better Presentations with Microsoft PowerPoint.

During this free webinar, we hear from TechSoup's Elliot Harmon and Microsoft's Doug Thomas on ways to enhance the effectiveness of your presentations. First, we talk about improving the visual aspects of your presentation through tools such as SmartArt. We then discuss Microsoft PowerPoint's broadcast function, which allows you to virtually share your presentation with clients or colleagues throughout the world.

Also included in this webinar is a discussion of Microsoft Web Apps, PowerPoint resources, and information on the TechSoup Microsoft Software Donation Program.

This webinar is appropriate for nonprofits or libraries interested in creating enhanced Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.

Speaker Information 

As a former staff writer at TechSoup Global, Elliot Harmon wrote content to educate nonprofits and public libraries on effective use of technology. He has degrees from the University of South Dakota and the California College of the Arts.

Doug Thomas has been at Microsoft for 5 years. Previously he worked at Amazon.com as managing editor in the DVD department, and reviewed movies for numerous outlets for twenty years. Meg Creelman has a background in IT support, primarily in the fields of DSL and Frame Relay networking, with some other goodies such as VoIP systems on the side. She has worked with TechSoup since November of 2010 in the account management group providing support for both phone and email based troubleshooting. In her spare time, she likes to partake in historical theater such as Commedia d’ell Arte and discussing historical textiles.
