There are many ways to
participate in TechSoup's 2013 Digital Storytelling Challenge and a wealth of
free resources and training available. Are you confused about anything? Let’s
see if our FAQ can help.
When is TechSoup's 2013 Digital Storytelling Challenge?
Submissions open
April 2 and close at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time on April 30. Expert and community judging happens during the first two
weeks of May, and we'll host an awards gala in San Francisco and streamed
online through our Nonprofit Commons in Second Life on May 28.
I’m a
nonprofit, social benefit organization, or library outside the United States.
Can I participate?
The challenge is open to new and seasoned storytellers around the globe.
Wait, what is
the time limit on video submissions?
The average attention
span for online video consumption is 90 seconds. We want to push you to create
something people will watch!
Is there any
cost to enter or participate?
Nope! All webinars
and resources are free, and it's free to enter the challenge.
Do I need to be
a member of TechSoup?
No, but there is
no cost to become a member. And joining
TechSoup gives you access to
a catalog of over 400 donated technology products from our donor partners like
Microsoft, Adobe, Citrix, and Flickr.
I already made
a short video for my organization, can I still enter?
Yes! We don’t mind when you made your video, as long as you meet the time
requirements.
I'd love to blog about the challenge. How can I help you promote it?
Thanks! Please
