Numerous studies show the importance of broadband adoption in underserved communities. Many organizations and government institutions are working to bring Internet access and literacy to underserved communities in the forms of public libraries, community technology centers, low-income housing complexes, and more.

TechSoup recently completed a study of Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) grantees.
