FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

San Francisco, CA - August 2, 2007 - TechSoup announced today that Daniel Ben-Horin, the organization’s founder and co-CEO, was once again included in the prestigious NonProfit Times Top 50 Power and Influence List for 2007 (PDF) . Mr. Ben-Horin has now been named one of “the sector’s top executives and thinkers” for the fourth consecutive year.

The honor coincides with the organization’s 20th anniversary year, during which TechSoup has been significantly expanding its impact on the global nonprofit sector.

On the heels of the second successful NetSquared conference and the launch of the NetSquared Innovator Support Network in May 2007, NetSquared added its seventh U.S. meetup group in Phoenix and the first one outside the U.S. – in Ecuador.

TechSoup’s broad network of international partner nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that manage global technology product donation programs for Cisco Systems and Microsoft currently spans Europe, Africa, and Australia. The program is expected to serve about 25 countries in Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America, and distribute product donations with a fair market value of $55 million in the countries outside the U.S. in Fiscal Year 2008.

“Celebrating our 20th anniversary this year does not mean that we’ll rest on our laurels,” comments Ben-Horin. “We’re planning to expand the NetSquared community and meetups to Europe, and our global donation distribution program is adding partners at a fast pace – Ireland is the latest new member. But we’ll definitely find some time to celebrate as well!”
