All information you submit via our Web site is protected during transmission by a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 128-bit encrypted certificate from VeriSign. In addition, our servers are located in a secure, carrier class facility and are protected by a firewall.

In order to request a donation from TechSoup Stock, customers must first join My TechSoup, a feature of TechSoup Stock's content and resource partner Web site, TechSoup. During My TechSoup registration, users are required to give their contact information (name and e-mail address). This information is stored so that we might be able to contact users about topics on the site for which they have expressed interest and to enable users to retrieve lost passwords. It is optional for the user to provide demographic information (mailing address, position, technical skill, etc.).
When utilizing the services of TechSoup, you are subject to TechSoup's unique privacy guidelines. You may wish to review these guidelines by readingTechSoup's complete Privacy Statement .
TechSoup Stock retains information about your organization to track orders through to completion, to facilitate requests for customer service and to later inform prior customers of important changes to our program that may affect them. This information includes organization name; information about the organization's mission and budget; name and e-mail address of the organization contact; mailing address; order history, and other information self-reported during organization registration.
501(c)(3) Determination Letters from the IRS and Confirmation of Registration Letters from the Canada Revenue Agency that document organizations' nonprofit or charitable status are considered part of an organization's public record, and are kept on file for governmental, donor, legal, and funding-related reporting purposes.
"Cookies" are pieces of information sent to a user's browser by a Web server (the computer that "hosts" a Web site, and responds to requests from a user's browser.) The browser retains the information that is submitted, and sends it back to the Web server the next time the Web site is accessed. Your browser must be configured to accept cookies to be able to place an order on TechSoup Stock.
TechSoup Stock uses cookies to remember if a user has logged in while you are on our site. This prevents you from having to log in more than once during the same visit. In addition, we use cookies to record what you have placed in your "shopping cart," so that you need not start from scratch if you are unable to complete an order in one session. TechSoup Stock also uses cookies to monitor overall user trends.
Accepting cookies while on TechSoup Stock will not put you or your organization at risk of receiving marketing material from other companies.
If you would prefer not to receive New Product Notification, or any other special e-mail communications from TechSoup Stock, please follow the instructions at the bottom of the message to remove your name from the associated list(s).
If you would prefer not to receive our print catalog please send an e-mail to customerservice@techsoup.org with the subject line, "Print Catalog - Opt Out." Please make sure to include your name and your organization's name in the body of the e-mail.
When you refer a nonprofit through our online notification service, the organization(s) you have named will receive a one-time e-mail inviting them to visit TechSoup Stock. The contact information you have provided will not be added to our mailing list for future correspondence, though we may retain it for our own internal analysis.
Occasionally, TechSoup Stock or one of our donating partners may ask you to participate in a case study, provide a testimonial, or complete a survey. If the partner that has provided your donation requires your willingness to participate in any such study as a prerequisite for receiving a donation, this will be explicitly stated in the guidelines of that donation program.
Once you have requested a donation from one of our partners, the basic contact information you have provided for yourself and your organization will be furnished to the donating company as part of an ongoing standard reporting process. After requesting a product, you are considered a client of the company that has provided the donation, and are subject to the privacy policy of that organization. We encourage our users to review the privacy statements on our partners' Web sites, as policies may vary.
Those organizations participating in the Microsoft and I CAN Software Donation Programs will need to establish a .NET Passport account (if they do not already have one) in order to receive their eOpen Licenses.When registering for a .NET Passport, the amount and type of information requested is determined by the registering site. If you register through Microsoft's eOpen Web site, the only information required to create a new account is an e-mail address and password, your country, state/province/territory and zip/postal code.

Except as otherwise stated in this document at this time, or as revised in the future, we will not license, transmit, sell, rent or otherwise distribute e-mail addresses or any other information to third parties other than partners of TechSoup Stock who require that information in order to provide you with services or complete orders you have submitted.
TechSoup Stock does cooperate fully with law enforcement and other governmental agencies, and may disclose information on our registered visitors if and when we are required to do so by law; we believe that such disclosure is necessary to protect us from legal liability and to ensure program compliance; or we believe that we need to do so in order to protect someone's safety.
